Fundación Valles, abbreviation for Fundación para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Agropecuario de los Valles (Foundation for the Development of Agricultural Technology in the Valleys) is a private institution working in the public interest, without political, religious, or profit-making goals. It was founded the 21st of February, 2000, receiving its legal incorporation in March of that year under Resolution Nº 060/2000 issued by the Prefecture of the Department of Cochabamba. Its membership is composed of 21 public and private institutions. Its Board of Directors, partially replaced at each meeting of the Annual Assembly, is composed of 12 persons, who are elected for three-year periods. Given its legal character and its means of action, Fundación Valles has become an ideal available instrument for public and private entities to administer their resources that are directed towards agricultural development in Bolivia. These entities have found Fundación Valles to be a valid go-between with proven capabilities in leveraging resources and in good technical execution of programs and projects. |
