| Con el objetivo de estudiar la viabilidad de producir, en los valles de Bolivia, nuevas especies con potencial de mercado y establecer nuevas fuentes de ingreso para varios actores, hemos continuado el Programa Nuevas Oportunidades. |

To study the feasibility of producing new crop varieties with market potential in the Bolivian valleys and establish new sources of income for the different stakeholders, we continued the New Opportunities Program. |

| Como resultado de las acciones debemos dejar establecido: canales aduaneros y fitosanitarios abiertos para la importación legal de material vegetal, tecnologías de cultivo para las especies sobresalientes y guías para el establecimiento de canales de comercialización. Por ello, este programa establece cuatro fases respecto a todos sus emprendimientos: introducción de material vegetal, aclimatación, ensayos de evaluación y ensayos semi-comerciales. |

Our activities include establishing customs and fitosanitary channels for legally importing plant material, introducing crop management technologies for the most promising species and establishing marketing channels. To this end, this program has established four phases for its activities: introduction of plant material, acclimatization, evaluation trials and semi-commercial trials. |

To date, we have introduced 21 species and 94 varieties of fruit, flowers and trees, which are now at different stages of development. |

| De las especies introducidas hasta ahora, las más destacadas son: frambuesa (Rubus idaeus), zarzamora (Rubus allegheniensis), calas de color (Zantedeschia x hybrid), lisiantus (Eustoma grandiflorum) y azucenas (Lilium sp.). Sin embargo, continuamos los ensayos con otras especies promisorias así como con la introducción de nuevas. |

Of the species introduced to date, the following are particularly noteworthy: raspberry (Rubus Idaeus), blackberry (Rubus allegheniensis), colored calla (Zantedeschia x hybrid), lisianthus (Eustoma grandiflorum) and lilies (Lilium sp.). We continue testing other promising species and introducing new ones. |

| Para realizar estos ensayos, trabajamos con socios cooperadores (3 viveristas y 14 campesinos), quienes buscan desarrollar nuevas fuentes de ingreso y comparten con nosotros la voluntad de difundir los resultados positivos de estas experiencias. |

To perform the trials, we work with cooperating partners (3 greenhouses and 14 farmers), who are are interested in new sources of income and share our desire to disseminate the positive results of these experiences. |
